I saw at least one lizard most days up at mum's, but this was the biggest and best of the lot - a goanna climbing a tree beside the Ellenborough River. While we watched, a kookaburra and another bird dive bombed it, so we think it was trying to get at the birds' nests. We could hear a baby kookaburra up in the trees. (The rest of the lizards were skinks about 20-30 cms long warming themselves on the paving at mum's)

Lizards a-plenty
