Southside: less pretty bits

Less pretty...but I like them

A rusty old bath on the decaying verandah of
a Foote Street house

Cobblestones and corrugated iron

Roses and peeling paint

Southside: On the waterfront

Kerford Road pier

A bite?

Southside: On the street

Beaconsfield Parade

This might have been Dorcas Street, South Melbourne

Albert Park

Albert Park

South Melbourne Town Hall

Opposite the Town Hall. I love the striped verandahs
and the window boxes.

This stretch of Clarendon Street has got to be one of the most
charming streetscapes in Melbourne.

(P.S. to be continued)

Signday (yes, I'm obsessed)

In the old days....no Sunday tram service on Park Street

Not sure if this vintage store is called The Suit Hospital
or if that was a previous tenant.

Albert Park

Also Albert Park

A double decker off Clarendon Street, South Melbourne. I can't make out
the first word of the top sign but then it says "weekly quarterly payments".
The bottom says "dry cleaners". That could have been another sign
to the left of the window too.

More signs

Off Little Bourke Street near the GPO. I think this sign was for the old Money Order Office.

The former Sir Charles Hotham Hotel, corner Flinders and Spencer Streets

What the?

I spotted these rainbow clouds from the concourse at Southern Cross Station. Google (oh, how I love thee) tells me that it's
a rare phenomenon called a circumhorizontal arc.
