What the?

I spotted these rainbow clouds from the concourse at Southern Cross Station. Google (oh, how I love thee) tells me that it's
 a rare phenomenon called a circumhorizontal arc.

  1. I noticed this same thing in a photo I took by Fed Square earlier today. But not as prominent. You did really well to get that...

  2. Another website I looked at said rainbow clouds aren't rare. But whatever. It's still pretty cool.

    I had to amp up the saturation to make the colours more vibrant.

  3. Wow, that is realy cool! I've seen it from time to time, but really just in a small spot--reminded me of what you'd see w/ a prism. This is a great photo!
