Weekend in Walhalla V - the cemetery

The cemetery in Walhalla is spectacular - as we turned the bend past the old railway station, we looked up and there it was, old white gravestones spread out across a steep hill with a white picket fence around it.

Here's a small selection of my photos.

  1. While visiting a cemetery in Wakefield, Massachusetts (about 15 minutes outside of Boston) I believe the year on the stone was 1626 one of the best epitaphs I've ever read:
"Consider, friend, as you pass by: As you are now, so once was I. As I am now, you too shall be. Prepare, therefore, to follow me." hehehe hahaha LOL Gotta love that one! Boston Giggles Fan.

  2. Hi there. Wow, 1626. There's no graves in Australia that old... I've seen that epitaph somewhere before. Perhaps it was a common one once?
