There is something quite lovely about the first photo - the colours are so vivid, from the shiny black of the road to the acidic yellow of the car and the earthy red of the bricks. It's timeless, too. If you don't look too closely, you don't know for sure when it was taken.

* The laneways, especially Degraves Street and Centre Place.

* The Victorian architecture, especially the interior of 333 Collins Street, the Olderfleet Building and the Melbourne Safe Deposit Building on Queen Street
