A giant baby sculpture at the Ron Mueck exhibition, National Gallery of Victoria (not that you can gauge scale from my photo. It's much bigger than a cow.)

Saturday sunrise
Yup, I was up early again. While I was watching the sunrise, I saw a neighbour topless in her bathroom. People aren't much into privacy around here. (Sorry, no photos of that.)

Separated
I think this swan....
...was looking for this swan. They were swimming around in circles as if they were searching for something, but they were on opposite sides of Morell Bridge and weren't getting any closer to each other. Swans mate for life and there are several pairs that call this part of the Yarra home.

Church door
Spotted on my way to drinks on Little Lonsdale Street last night. This is the rear of the Wesley Church fronting Lonsdale Street.

Temple of the Winds
...or the ceiling thereof. I love the name Temple of the Winds. It sounds like something from a fantasy novel*...not that I actually read fantasy novels. The Temple is an old, domed structure perched at the highest point of the Royal Botanic Gardens.
*and what do you know? There is a fantasy novel by that name, which I discovered as soon as I googled it to find the link.

Good morning, sunshine
My first post-tree lopping sunrise. Not spectacular as sunrises go but still a nice sight to wake up to.

Room with a view
The tree outside my bedroom window was cut down today, giving me an almost uninterrupted view to the horizon. I wish they'd fix the Nylex Clock (on silo at left).

Rose bud
No, I didn't go looking for one just because it's Valentine's Day. I passed the rose beds on a walk through the Botanic Gardens.

A storm!
Yay, there was a storm this afternoon and it left much cooler temperatures and some low cloud in its wake. What a relief.

If this isn't...
...the most beautiful bank in Melbourne today, I'd like to see what is. It's the ANZ Bank on the corner of Queen and Collins Streets. Beautiful inside....
and out.
