Swan Street, RichmondI only found out today that the Dimmey's building has been sold and the discount department store is closing down. How did I not know this earlier?! The building is heritage-protected....but if something happens to the mural along the Green Street wall, I will be very, very unhappy - as would the artist who has not long finished it, I would think.
Just hope it's not another part of our "disposable" heritage that results in a vague footnote on a thesis somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI think that a lot of the building is protectd. No doubt someone will want to build a 34 storey apartment building there.
