Mushy

Most people on the internet take photos of their dinner after it's cooked...

Shot

I can never resist taking a photo of the shot tower when I'm at Melbourne Central

Royal

Luke and I went to the Finders Keepers Market at the Royal Exhibition Building today, partly to take photos of the spectacular interior. The market only took up one end of the building. The rest was screened off, but we squeezed through the gaps and had the rare opportunity to take photos of the building without any people around.

More flowers

I've been to the Botanic Gardens every day for the past three...or is it four?...days now.

Don't know what this is, but it's purdy

This was a Pincushion flower

Another phase of the Pincushion flower lifecycle

Don't know what this is, but it looks good

A rose of some kind (it was in the rose garden)

I can't keep away from the Botanic Gardens with my camera...

Saturday sojourn

Distant rain as seen from the top of Lake Mountain,
the closest alpine resort to Melbourne (click to enlarge)

Lake Mountain and surrounds were ravaged by the devastating
Black Saturday bushfires in February 2009. So many trees lost...
but there is a strange and eerie beauty to it

More ghost trees on the road between Lake Mountain and Marysville

Steavenson Falls near Marysville, one of Victoria's
tallest waterfalls with a drop of 122 metres

Part of the lower cascade.
Anyone know the highest waterfall in Victoria?
My google search was inconclusive
