Derelict

Facade...

and what lies within...

The old CUB Brewery on the corner of Victoria and Bouverie Streets, North Melbourne, is listed on the Victorian Heritage Database, so presumably the facade will be retained during the redevelopment of the site, which is now underway.

Pipes

The pipes of the Grand Organ at the Melbourne Town Hall, where acclaimed organist Calvin Bowman today played - is still playing - the complete organ works of JS Bach. He started at 8.00 am and will finish at 12.40 am. (And no, the pipes aren't blue, I told you the City of Melbourne has to shine colored lights on everything!)

Training

Early this morning (well, early for me for a Saturday, not early for the rowers). Yes, that's the Skywheel in the background that you have seen many times here.

A different view...

...of the Supreme Court. This was taken from the inner courtyard of the court (or just plain courtyard, I suppose). I had to visit for work today and snapped this quickly on my camera phone. I think this building houses the library, which I have heard is spectacular. Apparently it has an annual public open day, but I missed it this year.

Entransing

The Transe Express show Mischievous Bells in Alexandra Gardens. It's hard to tell, but they're playing percussion instruments (drums, bells) and there's three acrobats - 40 metres up with no safety nets.

Bonus photo Friday

Quite a nice view of the city from the Arts Centre

Nothing says Christmas quite like fish and butterflies, eh? Myer's Christmas shop is in full swing already, which really irritates me...but boy, it is purdy.
